Fire District Board of Commisoners
Stephen Davey, Chr.
There has been no formal meetings of the Board of Fire Commissioners since the COVID-19 emergency was declared. However, we continue to monitor the situation and have limited all activities at the firehouse to essential activities only. The chiefs’ have been in contact with the board and have put in place new sanitizing protocols for all responding apparatus and fire personnel.
House duty (apparatus maintenance) was completed with a limited group of fire personnel following appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols.
The commissioners have contracted with a blacktop sealing company to seal and re-line the new parking area as well as sealing the ramp in front of the truck bays. Hopefully, this will take place as soon as the State lifts current emergency procedures.
No other actions have been taken at this time.
As always, we are in need of more volunteers. Volunteer firefighters are first responders not only for fires but for every community emergency including car accidents, vehicle entrapments, storms, hazardous material spills, and routine home emergencies. Your volunteers save you thousands of dollar in taxes.
